What Is Step Up For Students (FTC / FES-EO / FES-UA / PEP)?

Step Up For Students manages Florida's family of school-choice scholarships. Most now function as education savings accounts, meaning funds can go toward far more than private school tuition — including tutoring, curriculum, and therapies. The right program depends on your child's situation: FTC and FES-EO for private school families, PEP for homeschooling families, and FES-UA (no income cap) for students with a diagnosed disability.

Apply early: Applications for the 2026–27 cycle opened February 1, 2026 and filled quickly — over 200,000 applications arrived in the first three days. Renewals are due by April 30 each year to avoid a summer funding gap.
